CEES BLOC – HERRINGBONE PHEs

CEES has developed India’s first manufacturing facility for robotically laser welding Plates of all Materials of Construction for various applications in the field of Chemical, Oil and gas, Waste-water treatment and other energy recovery fields wherein applications involve corrosive fluid at high temperatures and pressures.

Boiler & Thermic Fluid Systems

CEES has manufactured and tested these BLOC type plate heat exchangers upto 60 bar(g) pressure and has supplied such heat exchangers in multiple petro-chemical refineries and oil & gas applications within India and abroad. We perform Burst-test procedure for the welded cassette in accordance to ASME Sec. VIII Div. I API 667 and the entire construction of the frame is done in accordance to API 810:2025.

CEES also has the capability to perform FEA on all the pressure parts of the BLOC type HX and for every new product development, thorough procedure is followed during design, manufacturing and testing.

Laser welded Bloc Type Heat exchangers are increasingly pushing the design and testing envelope due to robust design and improved welding practices. BLOC type heat exchangers can now function upto 300 degree Celsius and upto 60 bar(g) of Hydrostatic pressure which has made them a coveted requirement in Oil & Gas, Refinery and Chemical applications. The below plot shows how the boundary conditions of temperature and pressures for various plate type heat exchangers. Bloc heat exchangers being completely welded yet openable heat exchangers have an added advantage from a maintenance point of view as compared to Shell and Tube heat exchangers. CEES has gone one step forward with patented plate pattern + laser welding design of plates and comb/column liners.

CEES has developed a Free-flow plate configuration especially for Alumina slurry kind of applications. Here, Plate gaps of 8 mm – 22 mm are possible in an asymmetric configuration. Thick viscous media with suspended particles pass through larger gap channel whereas clean media passed through narrow channel.

CEES HYBRID PLATE HEAT EXCHANGERS

Plate type heat exchangers have evolved to cater to higher temperatures and pressures thanks to advanced manufacturing techniques and metallurgy. Hybrid heat exchangers are a prime example of the same with a unique construction. The plates form seamless tubes like cross-section on one side and wave cross-section on the adjacent one. The tube side helps free flow of fluids with dissolved and suspended solids whereas the wave side allows for condensation of gaseous media. This unique plate arrangement makes Hybrid heat exchangers a versatile tool for reboiling and condensation applications in Chemical, Sugar, Bioethanol and power plant industries.
