ES Central Controllers

Atlas Copco’s ES central controllers allow you to monitor and control multiple Atlas Copco GHS VSD+ vacuum pumps simultaneously. Four ES controller models are available; two integrated system and two of which even enable competitive vacuum pump brands to be controlled. The operating principle is simple: one GHS VSD+ in your multi-pump installation regulates, while the other GHS VSD+ units are in base load, running at a certain percentage of the maximum speed.

Key Features

  • Monitor and control multiple vacuum pumps simultaneously.
  • Smart control provides the most suitable product mix at all times.
  • Priority management and sequencing for efficient operation.
  • Running hours equalization reduces maintenance time and costs.
  • Maintains the vacuum network within a narrow predefined pressure band for improved process stability and optimized energy consumption.

Benefits

Save Energy & Cut Costs

Smart control allows fixed-speed and variable-speed pumps to work together, maximizing energy savings while reducing operating costs.

Reduce Maintenance

Running hours are spread equally among all vacuum pumps, reducing maintenance time and maintenance costs.

Optimize Operation

Priority management and sequencing enable different operating strategies, such as separate daytime and night-time sequences, to match demand in the most economical way.

Applications

  • Multi-pump vacuum installations
  • Atlas Copco GHS VSD+ vacuum pump systems
  • Mixed installations with Atlas Copco and compatible competitive vacuum pumps (ES6v & ES16v models)

Models

ES4iv

  • Installed on the GHS VSD+ master unit.
  • Connects up to 4 GHS VSD+ vacuum pumps.
  • Can be combined with a remote pressure transducer option on the master unit for greater reactivity to demand fluctuations.

ES6iv

  • Installed on the GHS VSD+ master unit.
  • Connects up to 6 GHS VSD+ vacuum pumps.
  • Offers the possibility to combine a remote pressure transducer option for greater reactivity to demand fluctuations.

ES6v

  • Controls up to 6 GHS VSD+ vacuum pumps and up to 5 competitive vacuum pumps.
  • External pressure transducer provided as standard.
  • Features Equal Wear Mode, which balances load over different pumps.

ES16v

  • Controls up to 16 GHS VSD+ vacuum pumps and up to 14 competitive vacuum pumps.
  • Base load GHS VSD+ can operate between 20% and 100% of maximum speed.
  • Features Virtual Machine Control, allowing operation in maintenance optimization mode, energy saving mode, or a balance between both.
